‘Mirror Building’

The nearly identical modern minimalist buildings in west Los Angeles are immediately spotted from Highway 2, with an inescapable emphasis on the space between them. The architect, Minoru Yamasaki, used similar color, shapes, spacing and materials on his other famous project, the World Trade Center buildings in New York City. Conveniently appropriate, these photogenic sharp reflective LA structures are adjacent to a local institution that celebrates photography’s history, utility and strength, at the Annenberg Space for Photography.
